Chapter 1
A career built on standards
Chris spent more than 20 years working as a professional chef. It is a trade with no hiding place: everything is prepared in advance, everything is checked, and the plate that leaves the pass carries your name on it.
Precision, preparation, consistency and pride in the finished result were not optional. They are the same qualities that decide whether a detailed vehicle looks genuinely right or merely clean.
Chapter 2
From passion to profession
Vehicle care had always been the thing Chris did for enjoyment — his own cars, then friends' cars, then anyone who noticed the difference and asked.
Turning that into Jeynes Cleans Auto Detailing meant treating it as a trade rather than a hobby: proper equipment, proper products and a proper process for every vehicle.
Chapter 3
Professional training
Chris trained through the UK Detailing Academy, learning the technical side of paint, machine polishing, decontamination and protection under experienced instruction.
He then achieved certification through the International Detailing Association as a Certified Detailer — a recognised industry standard rather than a self-awarded badge.
Chapter 4
Why professional certification matters
Vehicle detailing involves far more than simply cleaning a car. Different paint finishes, interior materials, protection products and surfaces require the right preparation, products and techniques.
Professional training and continued development help support a more informed and consistent approach. Chris has undertaken professional detailing training and achieved certification through the International Detailing Association as part of his commitment to continually improving his knowledge and service.
Chapter 5
Today
Jeynes Cleans is fully mobile, working across Worcestershire from a base in Kempsey. Chris travels to customers with the equipment needed to clean, enhance and protect vehicles on location.
Everything from a family hatchback to a work van, a motorcycle or a prestige car goes through the same careful approach.
